Application Guidelines:

• Applications must be submitted by March 1, 2025

• Candidate must be a graduating Halifax County High School senior

• Candidate must be accepted at a 4-year college or university

• Candidate must have at least a 3.0 GPA

• Candidate must demonstrate financial need

• Candidate must maintain no lower than a 2.7 GPA during their college journey. Semester reviews will be performed.

• Three letters of recommendation are required. At least one letter of recommendation must be provided by someone currently in the education industry or by someone who retired in the past year (teacher, guidance counselor, administrator, etc.).

• A FAFSA Submission Summary is required. After submitting your FAFSA application, you will receive an electronic or paper document summarizing the information you reported on the application. Please upload the FAFSA Submissions Summary.

• Education Essay: Please type an essay (must be at least 500 words) expressing interest in pursuing a career in education OR the importance of educators and their impact on society.
