Overview

Created to honor a lifelong educator, this scholarship supports Halifax County High School seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and a passion for learning.

Award

Up to $25,000

($6,250 renewable for up to four years

of full-time undergraduate study)

​

Qualifications

  • Graduating senior at Halifax County High School (VA)

  • Accepted to a four-year college or university

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA

  • Demonstrated financial need

  • Interest in education (preferred, not required)

  • Submit three letters of recommendation (at least one from an educator)

  • Provide FAFSA Submission Summary

  • Submit official transcript and college acceptance letter

  • Complete a 500-word essay on education or the impact of educators

Guidelines

The scholarship will be disbursed in equal payments throughout the recipient's four-year program. Semester reviews will be performed. Candidate must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
