Overview
Created to honor a lifelong educator, this scholarship supports Halifax County High School seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, and a passion for learning.

Award
Up to $25,000
($6,250 renewable for up to four years
of full-time undergraduate study)

Qualifications
-
Graduating senior at Halifax County High School (VA)
-
Accepted to a four-year college or university
-
Minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA
-
Demonstrated financial need
-
Interest in education (preferred, not required)
-
Submit three letters of recommendation (at least one from an educator)

Provide FAFSA Submission Summary
-
Submit official transcript and college acceptance letter
-
Complete a 500-word essay on education or the impact of educators

Guidelines
The scholarship will be disbursed in equal payments throughout the recipient's four-year program. Semester reviews will be performed. Candidate must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
