Application Guidelines:

• Applications must be submitted by March 23, 2025.

• Candidate must be a resident of Virginia

• Candidate must be a graduating high school senior

• Candidate must be accepted and plan to pursue a degree in a STEM-related field at a 4-year college or university

• Candidate must have at least a 3.0 GPA

• Candidate must demonstrate financial need

• Candidate must maintain no lower than a 3.0 GPA during their college journey. Semester reviews will be performed.

• Three letters of recommendation are required. Letters from teachers, guidance counselors, school administrators, community leaders, etc. are encouraged.

• A FAFSA Submission Summary is required. After submitting your FAFSA application, you will receive an electronic or paper document summarizing the information you reported on the application. Please upload the FAFSA Submission Summary.

• Leadership Essay: Please type an essay (must be at least 300 words) describing a specific instance that best showcases your leadership. What was the instance? What challenges did you face? What skills did you leverage to overcome them?
