George L. Paige Scholarship of Excellence

The George L. Paige Scholarship of Excellence was announced in September 2022 and created in recognition of George L. Paige's 40+ years of commitment to the Halifax County, VA public school system. In honor of his commitment to supporting and preparing students for higher education, this scholarship provides college-bound seniors attending Halifax County High School, with financial assistance to attend a four-year college or university.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP

Be a graduating Halifax County, VA High School senior
Be accepted at a four-year college or university
Have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA
Demonstrate financial need

GUIDELINES AND DEADLINE

The scholarship will be dispersed in equal payments throughout the recipient's four-year program. Semester reviews will be performed. Candidate must maintain no lower than a 3.0 GPA.

Deadline for Application - March 22, 2026

AWARD

The scholarship offers up to $25,000 ($6,250 renewable for up to four years of full-time undergraduate study)
